Clear your mind, transform your leadership [Finish Strong]

Journal Your Way to Clarity

Happy December .

We're finishing the year strong, together, by turning our attention inward and fortifying our foundations. Last week we connected to our why and used our breath to anchor into it.

Finish Strong - Week 2

This week, as the year-end crunch and holiday demands race toward us, we’re slowing down and taking ourselves off autopilot. We will discover how writing can help us untangle complex thoughts and identify where default thinking derails our intentions.

Research shows that journaling not only reduces stress but also improves clarity, creativity, and decision-making by helping you process emotions and uncover patterns.

For leaders like you, clarity is the foundation of effective action. Journaling is your chance to step out of the noise, reconnect with your thoughts, and lead yourself—and others—with intention.

Self-Reflect & Practice

Day 1: Journal to clarify your starting point. Spend five minutes answering:

  • What’s taking up the most space in my mind right now?

  • What do I want to focus on this week?

  • What thoughts or emotions are holding me back?

Day: Explore a specific experience:

  • Write about a recent challenge or success.

  • What thoughts guided your actions? Were they helpful? Empowering? Optimistic? Critical?

Days 3 - 5:

  • Each day, write (3) intentions to guide how you show up. For example:

  • "Today I will listen to understand in meetings."

  • "When a challenge arises, I will embrace curiosity and release judgment."

  • End with one gratitude statement.

This practice rewires your brain for greater awareness and focus, making clarity your superpower!

Keep growing,
Jamie
